BeforeAfter
Rosewood, Sheraton-style dining chair, re-upholstered.
A rosewood occasional table belonging to Thrumster Estate, french-polished.
19th century oak gunbox of military style with brass handle and corners. Missing brass eschutcheon. All joints are loose. Top is split and warped. Velvet is damaged and felt has been eaten away. There are many chunks of wood missing and need replacing. Pictures by kind permission of Jamie Stone MSP.
To strengthen and stabilize the top router keys made of oak have been inserted to keep it from splitting and keep it straight. A severe crack in the lid was repaired and waxed.
The disintegrated felt has been replaced and the velvet been cleaned. A new escutcheon has been made and all the brass cleaned.
